Scuba and Sailing Instructor at a Summer program for Teens

Scuba diving and sailing are in themselves unforgettable experiences, but when combined they can create life-changing experiences. I was fortunate enough to work for a couple of years at a sailing and scuba summer camp for teens in the beautiful setting of the Bristish Virgin Islands.

Having worked as a divemaster and instructor in Spain and Greece I found myself in the mist of my university studies lacking a summer job that felt inspiring. I remember being unable to sleep and googling the most ridiculous word-combination I could come up with; scuba, sailing, job, Caribbean, summer. One of the first hits was for a company called ActionQuest. I visited their website and casually applied for a job - having no hopes of actually getting it. A week later I was called for an interview, and two weeks later I had my flights booked.

The years I spent at ActionQuest as an instructor had a profound effect on me. I had not been the same person I am tody without the experiences and friendships made at this wonderful place. Thank you.
