West End

I spent the night in a hotel room and was excited to take the opportunity to sleep in. I woke up at 5 am, a direct consequence of jetlag.I have come to notice that the ferries in the Caribbean leave on a “whenever-we-feel-like” basis, so I had to wait until the afternoon to catch a ferry to West End. I did not mind, I spent most of the morning pretending to be a tourist, sitting by the pool sipping on a pineapple juice. After approximately twenty minutes, I could not stand it anymore. I don’t think traditional vacations are for me. When I finally arrived to the dock at West End the feeling of being home struck me. It was as if no time had passed since I was last there. I could not think of another place I would rather be than here. Now waits a week of setting everything up. The boats need to be prepped and the equipment checked. But more importantly, it is now that the team will be shaped into a group that has the ability to change lives. I know it sounds pretentious – but it is the reality. That is why I am here.
