Internet stress versus one of the most beautiful places on earth

Finding functioning Internet in the BVIs is quite the challenge. Today it took me twenty minutes to even access my email account. I am sure that I would have succeeded more rapidly with this task had I not been competing for the Internet connection with fifty young individuals, who all insist on incisively checking their Facebook and update their twitter. In a way it is the most soothing feeling imaginable to be completely disconnected to the rest of the world, but it can also be an extremely stressful situation if you actually have real life problems to sort out. The days when I have access to the Internet are few and far between. In the beginning of the summers I go from being stressed out about not having internet to being stressed about having to use the internet when the opportunity actually present itself. When we threw off the lines from the dock and sailed away from the ridiculously picturesque harbor of Leverick Bay, I was relived that the Internet madness was over. Ahead of us lay a long sail to the island of Anegada. It is a secluded island not rising over the ocean more than a meter or two with turquoise water and reefs as its only companion to the white beaches that stretch out as far as the eyes can see. It may very well be one of the most beautiful places on this earth. Sometimes I truly love what I am doing with my life.
