Today I had one of the most amazing dives of my life. A school of millions and millions of small fish were chased into a fish bait by 6 large tarpons. You would swim through the ball of silver glowing fish and find yourself surrounded with a shining wall composed by an incomprehensible amount of two inch silver colored individuals swimming in unison to a composition that only nature could create. My student and me stayed there for as long as our air would allow, not as spectators but rather as cooperating parts of the impressive show. A little further away, pelicans aggressively dove down to join the feast created by the lurking predators from down below. I was in complete awe, but after a while I thought; it must suck to be one of those fishes right now…
