Cheap housing and surfing

I have never understood the appeal of hanging out by a pool and sipping drinks all day long when on vacation. I can stand it for about and hour, maybe two and then I just can’t do it any longer. Due to this fact I now find myself in a cheap hotel in the center of Kuta, Bali. Paying only about 12 dollars a night you get what you get. But I am pretty pleased – the room has a safe, looks pretty clean and both the AC and the water is working. That’s more than what I can say about the last hotel where I paid three times as much. But living cheaply and randomly has its benefits. For example it allows me to spend money on more exciting things than a bed and it also lets me stay very close to the most famous beach spot in the area. I am eagerly waiting the breakfast that is going to be brought to my room (included in the price!). That will serve as the official start of an amazing day, because today is the day where I go surfing for the first time. I am excited beyond belief.
