The last day in the lab, for now

Today was the last day in the lab with my crocodiles for some time to come. Like the other day I received another confirmation that there is at least hope for proceeding with my thesis, a affirmation that pleases me after months of hard work. But there is still much to be done before this project is finished. I guess you should end something on a good note, so it seems fitting that today was my last day in the laboratory for the summer. In a week from tomorrow I will be on my way to the Caribbean, doing something entirely different with my days. I am excited to switch out heavy analytic thinking for more practical problem solving as how do you make sure that the equipment is all in order before the next batch of scuba students show up. On Monday I will show clean up the mess I caused in the lab, and after that my brain and me will throw in the towel for this school year and call it. I am excited. Bring on the summer, but first the weekend!
