Karma will get you

It should be mentioned that yesterday’s prefect morning took a quick and drastic turn for the worse. I guess that’s what you get when you get too cocky with your humble brag about your awesome day. Thanks a lot Karma, I probably needed to be taken back to reality. I recall writing that the perfect fleeting world of the morning only lasts for an hour or two. Yesterday it only lasted for 45 minutes – until I managed to flood my first toilet of the summer. Yup, you read right. Don’t you just love unclogging a toilet in the morning? We don’t have to go into details about the cleaning process, let it just suffice to say that it was messy. A speed rib boat company that has some pretty impressive employees, out of which one also lives on his boat on the dock, runs the dock I am living on. Consequently I had to interrupt his breakfast knocking on his boat ‘casually’ (not) asking what cleaning supplies that he could lend me, and if he had a pair of gloves to lend me. He didn’t, he had some plastic bags. After this little bump in my morning routine I proceeded with my plan to visit my parents just south of Stockholm to celebrate mother’s day. From there on my day went great and I started packing for the summer. You know summer is just around the corner when it’s time to pack your scuba gear. I also took the opportunity to mark all of my scuba gear, because for some unknown reason students like to take the instructors’ stuff, something that turns into quite the inconvenience when one is about to jump in the water with a bunch of students. I must say that this was what I needed to get pumped about the next upcoming adventure – Two and a half months in the British Virgin Islands on a sailing boat. Bring on summer!
