Staff traning

Current location: West End, Tortola, British Virgin Islands

There has been a lot of scrubbing dinghies and sitting on plastic chairs for the last couple of days. When the staff of ActionQuest first makes it down to the BVIs for the summer there is nothing but a couple of storage rooms and a fully packed container there to greet them – apart from the large school ship Ocean Star that hangs out on the dock. From there we create in a matter of days something that resembles a summer program for youths. But the magic doesn’t happen until the staff gets to know one another and we become a well-oiled machine whipping out awesomeness right and left. The staff training goes through company guidelines and prepares us for the challenges that we soon will face that come as a part of the deal when you signed up for working 24/7 with teens. But the best part about staff training is to get out there on the water and just do what we do best – sail.
