Since I arrived a little more than a week ago I have been unbelievably busy prepping for around 140 teenagers to walk off a ferry in West End, Tortola and step onto their new floating homes. We have from assorted boxes, a lot of sweat and tarped gear and equipment created a flotilla of 15 vessels that is ready to provide teens with the experience of a lifetime. I have during this time intended to update the blog every single day, but ended up not finding the time to do so. Tomorrow we throw off our dock lines and I will be out of touch from the world for a little while. That is one of the beauties about this job; I get the chance to live in the present – whether I want to or not. That is how my life is going to look for some time to come – get up in the morning and just do my thing without a single thought about the past or the future. My present right now consists of overly excited shipmates stomping around on deck trying to set up hammocks left and right on the rigging. It will most probably be a while until they settle down and sweetly fall asleep beneith the stars. Until the rain comes of course...
