Sailing that turned into traveling

The winds on Guernsey were too stubborn for me to continue my journey transporting the boat. I only had a limited amount of days I could help out; after all, there is real life too, and I had to go back to the lab. I feel like I have a million different strings leading me to different directions and that are vigorously competing against each other for attention. I mean, molecular biology and sailing aren’t too similar. But I love them both, and I’m not ready to choose only one career path. Life is too diverse, too much fun to just explore one side of it. One day I hope that I can bring all the little threads I’m making together into a career that utilizes all of the talents that I am collecting. From Guernsey I flew to the closest city in England: Southampton. Conveniently enough, I have friends from ActionQuest there, and I managed to meet up with a bunch of them. I also found my brother and his wife in London. All in all, it was a very successful random visit to England, and I am glad I ended up there. Oh, the places where life takes me.
