A spontaneous trip that might end my excuses

Current location: Las Palmas, Gran Canaria

It’s curious how spontaneous decisions unexpectedly can put foundations under completely unrelated dreams and make you believe in them more firmly than ever. I set out to do some surfing, but ended up with more knowledge and inspiration for sailing around the world. The surfing was mediocre at best, but this trip couldn’t have been more fruitful. My trip to Gran Canaria can be summed up with shitty waves, great company and another wake up call to stop making excuses for myself. I feel that I keep planning and setting myself up for a better situation, when I in reality should just go and do the things I love. Don’t get me wrong, all the things I have done will benefit me greatly and have been the right choices, I am sure, but the time to start acting is coming up, at a speed that terrifies me slightly. I once read that a dream isn’t big and important enough if it doesn’t also terrify you. Well. Check. At least I know that I’m on the right track.
