We have been docked for two full days now, and I’m itching to leave. The pizza, gelato and coffee have been great, as well as watching tiny little cars drive around everywhere, but I want to go sailing. The wind has been doing all crazy sort of things, but by tomorrow it will settle down, allowing is to continue our journey to Spain. These past days have been filled with randomly chosen “quests”, to keep us busy, such as: finding Gelato (Italian Ice Cream), finding Wi-Fi, buying spray paint, having coffee at a cute café, and climbing a mountain. The only thing we didn’t succeed with doing was the WiFi part. But to be honest we didn’t make it a top priority. One thing that I like about this trip is that the skipper isn’t in a rush to go anywhere, allowing us to stay safe and to enjoy the journey. Everyone on the boat is all about having a nice time and I am so happy we didn’t go out in that weather. But now I am ready. Tomorrow is the day.
Also, a complete side-note explaining the picture: As a part of the Italian experience, I bought veggies at the local veggie and fruit market, where I also accidentally picked up a snail. I have named him Burt, and he helps us decide where to go next. He want’s to go back to Greece. But we won’t. We’re heading towards Spain. He lives on our chart right now with some rocket salad, but I think I’ll relocate him to shore before we leave tomorrow.
