A new adventure on the horizon

It’s been a while since I posted here. After I got back from my transport from Italy to Lanzarote on the catamaran, life settled down a bit. Well, I got employed as a firefighter, then later on switched and finally became an environmental consultant taking marine samples – something I’ve always dreamt about. Turned out it wasn’t as awesome as I expected, and started working as a firefighter again. For the past year, however, I have been working as an environmental consultant for a different company. It was a dream for so long that I felt obliged to give the industry one more chance. Am I loving it? Not really. But in the wake of Covid-19, a window of opportunity has arisen. Not only have I had a full-time job for quite some time and therefore been able to save up money (which is a key for any adventure, albeit perhaps a boring truth), but more importantly I now have a job that I can work remotely from. For instance, as I am writing this I am in a cabin by a lake way up north in Sweden. That was the dream – get a profession where I could work remotely. I have that now.
So I am in a good position where the possibilities are endless. I will soon embark on a new little adventure; transporting a Dufour 46 from Spain to Norway in April (yikes!). I also may or may not have almost bought a boat worthy for crossing oceans with… Exciting. Oh. And one more thing. I got myself a boat dog <3. She loves adventure and water as much as I do.
Cheers, Linda
