Honestly. What the heck. I am so tired but that won’t make a difference tonight. This trip makes no sense. We all feel duped, tricked. And I’m not talking about just us onboard, I am referring to what very likely seems to be every single crew member onboard more than 200 boats crossing. The weather is just not what it should be. Winds too strong, uninterrupted squalls for days, the worst squall I’ve ever encountered, and now thunderstorms every night. We are so close to St. Lucia at this point but it feels so far away. There is what we think is a cut-off-low that is behaving like an unprenetable wall around almost the entire southern Caribbean area. Our perception is that it generates thunderstorms as warm fronts are moving in. And it’s exhausting.
